Closest airport I should fly into?

We recommend Dulles or BWI. Both are about an hour from Frederick. Hagerstown airport is an option as well (– limited areas to fly from)

I plan to drive down early Saturday instead, should I anticipate traffic?

Absolutely. If you plan to drive Saturday morning and stay for one night instead, plan your departure accordingly as I-70, 270, 495, 95 are all very busy and prone to traffic and construction work.

Is downtown hard to navigate?

Downtown Frederick is very easy to drive and navigate! It is not super busy like a city such as DC or NYC if you get overwhelmed in areas such as those. A lot of parking available and multiple parking garages.

Are there Airbnb’s in Frederick?

Absolutely, if you prefer not to stay in any of the hotels we recommended on the hotel page, airbnb is a great option as well. The hotels page is only for suggestion based on distance from ceremony & reception.

Will shuttles be offered?

Shuttles will not be offered. We decided not to do a shuttle service because there are multiple hotel recommendations that people may split up to. Additionally, we are anticipating a split of people who want to go out after to the afterparty.

We recommend using Uber or Lyft, or having a designated sober driver. You may also drive to the reception and leave your car overnight.
